The leaves are the characteristic silver grey leaves like the common lamb's ear, just larger. The leaves have a velvety appearance with hairy leaves. During the summer, it produces flower spikes with purple pink flowers. The height only reaches 20 30cm. The flowers can grow up to 50 60cm.
